Chideock Shrine

The Church of our Lady, Queen of Martyrs, and St Ignatius (Chideock shrine) is located is in the village of Chideock in south west Dorset in Southern England. Built by Charles Weld in the grounds of Chideock Manor and finished in 1872. A memorial to the persecution of Catholics especial the seven Chideock men. (three priests and four laymen who were killed between 1587 and1642) The church and the museum are open between 10:00 to 16:00 daily. It is a beautiful little church with a small and interesting museum.
